Final-state interactions effects in neutral-current neutrino and antineutrino cross sections at MiniBooNE kinematics

The analysis of the recent neutral-current elastic neutrino and antineutrino-nucleus scattering cross sections measured by the MiniBooNE Collaboration requires relativistic theoretical descriptions also accounting for the role of final-state interactions. In this work we investigate the sensitivity to final-state interactions and compare the MiniBooNE data with the results obtained in the relativistic Green's function model with different parameterizations for the phenomenological relativistic optical potential.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures. version published in Physical Review

The Relativistic Green's function model and charged-current inclusive neutrino-nucleus scattering at T2K kinematics

We compare the results of the relativistic Green's function model with the experimental data of the charged-current inclusive differential neutrino-nucleus cross sections published by the T2K Collaboration. The model, which is able to describe both MINERν\nuA and MiniBooNE charged-current quasielastic scattering data, underpredicts the inclusive T2K cross sections.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1404.355

The Relativistic Green's Function Model for Quasielastic Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering

A model based on the relativistic impulse approximation for quasielastic lepton-nucleus scattering is presented. The effects of the final-state interactions (FSI) between the emitted nucleon and the residual nucleus are described by the relativistic Green's function model where FSI are treated consistently with the exclusive scattering and using the same complex optical potential. The results of the model are compared with the results of different descriptions of FSI and with available data for neutrino-nucleus scattering.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures, contribution to IWNT-32, 23-29 June 2013, Rila Mountains (Bulgaria

Strange quark effects in electron and neutrino-nucleus quasi-elastic scattering

The role of the sea quarks to ground state nucleon properties with electroweak probes is discussed. A relativistic Green's function approach to parity violating electron scattering and a distorted-wave impulse-approximation applied to charged- and neutral-current neutrino-nucleus quasi-elastic scattering are presented in view of the possible determination of the strangeness content of the nucleon.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures, talk given at 11th Conference on Problems in Theoretical Nuclear Physics, Cortona, Italy, 11-14 October 200

Relativistic approach to one nucleon knockout reactions

    Get PDF
We develop a fully relativistic distorted wave impulse approximation model for electron- and photon-induced one proton knockout reactions. The relativistic mean field for the bound state and the Pauli reduction for the scattering state are used, including a fully relativistic electromagnetic current operator. Results for 16O(e,e'p) cross section and structure functions are shown in various kinematic conditions and compared with nonrelativistic calculations. Nuclear transparency calculations in a Q^2 range between 0.3 and 1.8 (GeV/c)^2 are presented. Results for 16O(gamma,p) differential cross sections are displayed in an energy range between 60 and 150 MeV including two-body seagull contribution in the nuclear current.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, REVTeX4.
